Scan at the door
Attendees show their Play Safe QR code. Your phone reads it offline. Green or red in under a second. On red, you see what falls short and choose whether to admit anyway.
Sync when back online
Attendance records and event details sync automatically. Everything catches up automatically next time you're online.
Notify if needed
If a positive STI test comes in, you review the report and choose what to share. A generic nudge goes out; the STI detail arrives encrypted inside the app.

Health data stays on the device
STI results, risk scores, partner history: none of it passes through our servers in readable form. The health content of any exposure notification lives only on the recipient's device, never on ours.
Contact info requires two keys to open
When an attendee generates their QR, their contact details are encrypted twice: once with a key on your device, once sealed to our server. Neither of us can access it alone. It's decrypted only to address a notification, then discarded immediately.
Notifications carry zero health content
Push messages, emails, and SMS say only: "You have a notification waiting in Play Safe." No names, no diagnoses, no event details. The actual exposure content is delivered end-to-end encrypted inside the app.
No attendance record on our servers
We never store a list of who attended your event. Contact info lives on your device only. It reaches our server for just long enough to address a notification, then it's gone.
